Gentoo

I use Gentoo Linux since around 2001, making it the Linux I have used for a longer time without moving to something else. It’s perfect for me but maybe not for you! However, it doesn’t have every software in the world and sometimes it requires a bit of ebuild hacking… I have been posting them to the Gentoo Bugs Database but due to lack of maintainers or lack of interest by part of the current package maintainers some got lost… NO MORE!

In this page I shall aggregate those lonely ebuilds which I have put together but have actually not seen the light of day in the official portage tree.

This is the recommended driver for several Epson printers. I got an Epson BX300F and required an ebuild for it, so based on bug 209520 here’s an ebuild for you to use marked unstable for amd64 and x86.

The ebuild can be found here . Remember that you need for this to work the files/pipslited file (which can be found in this tarball).

If pipslite-install fails with No such file or directory d0

mkdir -p /var/lib/cache/pipslite
